Kristine Meares, 17, is one of two teens that accepted the challenge of getting an outfit for $25 or less. Meares was drawn to shorts and T-shirts, but they had to have some embellishments or stripes before she was interested enough to buy. After she and Kristin Funk, 17, made mental notes of what they liked, they checked out some other stores, bought some accessories, then returned to Forever 21 to purchase their favorite finds. When their purchases were added up, Meares' change from the allotted $25 was four cents. (Jaime Green/Wichita Eagle/MCT)

She added her own belt because she thought the dress needed to be cinched in a little bit because it was a little too boxy. She's wearing sandals and a "bling" ring she already had.
