What is TCA Content on Demand?
TCA Content on Demand website is an e-commerce service that allows special-section and niche-publication editors to access a searchable database of name-brand content for print and online use. Content can be purchased a la carte or by subscription for use by newspapers, magazines, retailers, corporate websites, newsletters, non-profit organizations and other groups seeking targeted content. We also offer Custom Orders in almost any content area, as well as high-quality design and localization of stories for your market.
How do I get access to stories and images?
You can begin searching for stories and images as soon as you enter the site. Simply choose one of the subjects listed on the left rail for the most recent related articles or use the search form at the top of the page to narrow your search. You also can do an advanced search based on source, content type or word count.
How much does the service cost?
Costs range from $10 to $125 per story, depending on word length. Graphics and photos are priced between $20 and $50. You can also choose to subscribe to the service for an annual fee. Contact Curtis Trammell, account manager, at (312) 527-8934 or for more information.
What type of content is available?
Currently, the site offers feature stories, graphics, illustrations, cartoons, photos and puzzles.
How do I purchase content?
After locating the story or graphic of your choice, click on "Add to Cart." The content will be made available in the Content Delivery section of the website upon checkout. Content will be available for download for 45 days following the date of purchase.
How do I download content?
To open large files such as content packages, images, illustrations, comics and puzzles, you will need an Expander program if you don't all ready have one. We use http://www.stuffit.com/win/expander/index.html You can download a trial version of the software for free. You will download two programs. One is STUFF IT, and the other is EXPANDER. Click on the green button that says "Download Now." When your trial period is up you will still be able to access the Expander program for free. Once Expander is downloaded, you can double click on the file or drag it into the Expander program to open. 
How many stories am I allowed per month?
There is no limit to the number of stories you can purchase per month on an a-la-carte basis. Subscribers will have access to content based on the terms of their agreement.
Can I use this content online?
Yes. The Content on Demand service allows for one-time use for your print and online publications.
Am I allowed to edit the stories?
You are allowed to remove sentences/paragraphs of the articles as long as in doing so you retain the original meaning of the story. You may also add specificity in terms of local references or market specific content.

What do I do if I have a technical problem?

Is there a way to view what I have ordered in the past?
Your purchase history will be retained for 6 months following the date of purchase. To see previous purchases, login and click the "Order History" link from either the header or footer.
I can't remember my password? What do I do next?
If you are unable to remember your password, you can indicate that you have forgotten your password by selecting the "Forget Password?" link on the login screen. After you provide your email address, the system will automatically send you a new temporary password. Once you login successfully, remember to go to the "My Account" tab to change your password.
I lost my username. Now what do I do?
Your username is the email address that you registered with. We suggest you use your corporate or organization email for this purpose.
I want to change my password.
The "My Account" page will enable you to change your password. You must be logged in to see the link to "My Account" from either the header or footer.

There are several ways to search for content,

  1. First browse the left rail and see if the area you are interested in is one of the categories detailed. If so, click the appropriate link.
  2. Use the search bar on the header to search by content type or category for whatever subject area you are looking for.
  3. Use the advanced search function to further narrow down your results. You can limit the items returned by specifying category, content type, source or word count.
